What is a person worth?

Governments, economists and companies already put numbers on people. Here are four of them — and where they come from.

Four numbers

Each comes from a primary source saved on huntos.hn:

  • About $2.3 million — the value of a statistical life, adjusted to the world’s average income (US Department of Transportation).
  • About $102,500 — a person’s lifetime earnings power, averaged across the world (World Bank).
  • About $229,000 — a lifetime of household spending at today’s world average, in present value (World Bank).
  • About $56 a year — what one platform earned from each daily user in 2025 (Meta).

Why it matters

People are the largest store of value on earth: human capital is 64% of all wealth, by the World Bank’s measure. Huntos is built so that the value people create is shared with the people who create it.

The full method, and every source, is at /value.
